Limito ("the App") is provided by Ocule AS ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data when you use the App.

1. Data We Collect and Store

Account Data: We store your username, email address, and profile information on our secure servers.

Competition Data: We store competition participation, leaderboard rankings, screen time grants, and competition results to enable multiplayer competitions with friends.

Screen Time Data: We store screen time grants and usage data that you add to competitions. We do not collect raw device screen time data.

Analytics Data: We use Mixpanel to collect anonymous event data including device type, OS version, in-app actions, and subscription status (anonymized).

2. How We Use Your Data

Competition Features: Your account and competition data allow you to compete with friends, view leaderboards, and track progress.

App Improvement: Anonymous analytics help us understand user behavior and optimize the App through split tests and feature improvements.

User Support: We may use your contact information to provide support when requested.

3. Data Sharing

Between Users: Competition data (usernames, rankings, screen time grants) is shared with other participants in your competitions.

Service Providers: We use Supabase for secure data storage and Mixpanel for anonymous analytics. Both follow strict data protection standards.

No Sale of Data: We never sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Security

All personal data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit and at rest.

Authentication uses industry-standard security protocols.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

5. Data Retention

Account Data: Stored until you delete your account through the App settings.

Competition Data: Stored until you delete your account or competitions expire.

Analytics Data: Anonymous data is retained by Mixpanel as needed for analysis, then aggregated or deleted.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access and receive a copy of your personal data
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict processing of your personal data
• Data portability
• Delete your account and associated data through App settings

7. Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process your data under:

• Article 6(1)(b) – Contract performance (competition features)
• Article 6(1)(f) – Legitimate interests (app improvement through analytics)
• Article 6(1)(a) – Consent (where applicable)

8. International Data Transfers

Data may be processed on servers outside the EU/EEA. We ensure proper safeguards through Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions.

9. Children's Privacy

Limito is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the App and on our website. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
