Readrrr ("the App") is provided by Ocule AS ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the App.

1. Data Storage

On-Device Storage: All your personal data, including reading progress, bookmarks, preferences, and library information, is stored locally on your device. We do not store any of this data on our servers.

iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is synced across your devices using Apple's iCloud service. This data is managed by Apple according to their privacy policy and is not accessible to us.

2. Data We Collect

Analytics Data: We use Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics, including device type, OS version, app version, and anonymized in-app actions. This data helps us understand how users interact with the App and improve the experience.

No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or have access to your personal reading data, library contents, or any other personal information.

3. How We Use Your Data

App Improvement: Anonymous analytics help us understand user behavior, identify issues, and improve the App through feature enhancements and bug fixes.

No Advertising: We do not use your data for advertising purposes or share it with advertisers.

4. Data Sharing

Analytics Provider: We use Mixpanel for anonymous analytics. Mixpanel processes anonymized data according to their privacy policy and data protection standards.

iCloud: If you use iCloud sync, your data is shared with Apple's iCloud service. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.

No Sale of Data: We never sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Security

Your data remains on your device and under your control. When using iCloud sync, your data is protected by Apple's security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest.

6. Data Retention

On-Device Data: Your data is retained on your device until you delete the App or clear its data.

iCloud Data: Data synced to iCloud is retained according to Apple's iCloud policies and can be deleted through your iCloud settings.

Analytics Data: Anonymous analytics data is retained by Mixpanel as needed for analysis, then aggregated or deleted.

You have the right to:

• Access your data (stored locally on your device)
• Delete your data by removing the App or clearing App data
• Manage iCloud data through your Apple ID settings
• Opt out of analytics tracking through the App settings

8. Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process anonymized analytics data under:

• Article 6(1)(f) – Legitimate interests (app improvement through anonymous analytics)

9. Children's Privacy

Readrrr is suitable for users of all ages. Since we do not collect personal data, no special provisions for children are necessary. Analytics data collected is anonymous and cannot identify individual users.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the App and on our website. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
